Tanguy (@jemappelletanguy ), the creative mind behind @yugnat999 , lets us step into his world: a place where everyday absurdities become sharp, relatable humor. “I make memes to talk about what we all go through with humor and a bit of perspective,” he says, describing a process rooted in observing life without taking things too seriously. What began as a casual way “just trying to make my friends laugh” quickly grew into something far bigger, even though he still approaches it “with the same spontaneity as day one.”

Your meme account has become a genuine social media phenomenon. How did the idea initially spark, and did you ever anticipate its massive success?
It started very casually, just trying to make my friends laugh. Then it grew way faster than I expected. I’m really happy it resonates with so many people, even though I still approach it with the same spontaneity as day one.
Your content is a brilliant mix of high-level sarcasm and sharp wit. Where do you find your daily inspiration, and how do you ensure your humor stays fresh in a crowded digital space?
In everyday life. Conversations, news, small absurdities we all notice. I try to stay aware of what people talk about and experience. The most relatable moments often make the best memes.

Being a successful creator requires constant energy and output. How do you balance the demands of running a viral account with your day-to-day life?
I try to make room for what matters. I create a lot, then I disconnect whenever I need to. I want creativity to stay authentic, not forced. Honestly, it helps getting things out of my head.
When designing a space, do you meticulously plan every detail, or do you prefer to go with the flow? What elements are essential for you when creating a room that truly breathes creativity?
I prefer simplicity. A comfortable and functional place with light, and a few objects I really like. That’s enough to feel good and want to create.
Beyond aesthetics, what must a furniture brand offer, in terms of philosophy, material, or message, to win over a creative and conscious consumer like yourself?
Well-made pieces, built to last, with real intention behind them. I like objects that have a purpose and personality, without trying too hard to follow trends.

As a creator in a bustling urban environment such as Paris, how does the pace of city life influence your creative projects and your need for a peaceful, well-designed home base?
Paris is very stimulating and gives a lot of ideas, but it also asks you to slow down sometimes. My home is where I can relax, think, and keep a calmer rhythm.
Nobodinoz values sustainability and craftsmanship. In a fast-consumption world, viewed with irony in your content, what does it mean for you to choose conscious and lasting pieces, similar to what Nobodinoz offers?
I try to consume less but better. Choosing durable pieces means keeping objects that will stay with me for a long time. It just feels logical today.
Last but not least, could you recommend 3 of your favorite hotspots in Paris?
Strasbourg-Saint-Denis: a lively area with lots of great places to eat and explore.
Belleville: my former neighborhood, strongly linked to the early days of Yugnat.
Le Marais: especially on Thursdays, when you can eat and drink for free at openings while pretending to be cool.
