Interview with Olga Sicilia
Mother of two boys, Olga is a digital consultant for beauty brands and founder of @huna.care , a resource to inspire women to care for themselves with abundance and self-love". On top of all that, Olga has an eye for interior design. It's a passion that she confesses has led her to build a unique home in sunny Malaga. She likes to mix old and new pieces, creating a special space with a particular essence.
Tell us a little about yourself.
My name is Olga Sicilia and I have two children: Aquilino, who is six, and Simón, who is two.Although I trained in industrial design, I've been totally immersed in the digital world since 2008. I work as a content marketing consultant for natural beauty brands. Although I still collaborate with several of them, since last year I've been focusing on my own project, @huna.care, a space designed to inspire women to take care of themselves from a place of abundance and self-love. This project is off to a great start and I'm very excited about it.
What is your daily family life like?
Routine works really well for us—but so does stepping out of it! Our days are simple: school and work in the mornings, then in the afternoons, we go with the flow and enjoy spending time outdoors. Living in Málaga, we are truly lucky—we get to experience an (almost) eternal spring.
How do you balance your professional life with your family routine? How do you make time to spend quality time with them?
I’m grateful to have the opportunity to get most of my work done in the mornings so I can dedicate my afternoons and weekends to family time. Whenever we have particularly busy work periods, we’re lucky to have the grandparents nearby, always happy to spend time with the little ones. Honestly, we’re riding the wave from a very privileged position, and we are fully aware of that.

What's your favourite way of having fun together?
Right now, I’d say reading books and painting with watercolors is what we enjoy most at home. But little ones grow fast, and their interests shift throughout the year. When spring approaches, we love tending to our small garden and patio, making them look beautiful. In the summer, filling up a big tub with fresh water is always a hit. We also love cooking together—and simply doing nothing but being together.
How would you describe your taste in interior design?
Interior design is something that inspires me, and I love making changes in our home and selecting key pieces. I’d say my style is… eclectic? I love mixing things: old pieces, new pieces… Our home is a very special space that keeps its essence. Adding our personal touches and making it our sanctuary is a luxury, one that I truly value and enjoy!
How would you describe your family adventure?
I’d say our family adventure is: “intensely beautiful.”
Describe your three favourite places in Málaga to visit with your child. For example: a place to eat, a place to play and a place to enjoy the culture.
The beach – for playing, enjoying the fresh air, and connecting with nature.
@casa_festin at the College of Architects of Málaga – for delicious food in a magical setting surrounded by peacocks.
The @museopicassomalaga – for its workshops for kids, exhibitions, and all the learning opportunities it offers.
