Interview with Simone Noa
In this Nobodinoz Talks, we land in cool Copenhagen for a great chat with @simonenoa. Meet this proud mum of little Etta Olga, as well as a passionate PR and communications professional. Between her art projects, vintage finds and colourful explorations, Simone has built a life full of inspiration, warmth and creativity.
"I’m Simone, 31 years old, living in Copenhagen with my daughter. I work with PR and communication, and I try to stay as creative as possible whenever I get the chance. I also have a big love for auctions and vintage treasures for the home, and I’m a bit of an art nerd, I love collecting and discovering up-and-coming artists."
Your daughter, Etta Olga, will be celebrating her first birthday this July. How has this past year been for you as a new mom?
Time has truly flown by! It’s been a wild ride. I could never have imagined how deeply I’d love another human being. It’s been beautiful, I feel whole, and I’m so lucky to have my very own Etta. Of course, it’s also been intense and full of learning curves and adjusting to becoming someone’s mom takes time. But every bit of it has been so worth it.
Looking back at this past year, what has been your biggest challenge in balancing your artistic and PR career and family life with Etta Olga?
The biggest challenge has definitely been finding time to truly immerse myself in things. I managed to sneak into the ceramic studio now and then, but it hasn’t been easy. Especially in the beginning, when Etta was exclusively breastfeeding and I literally couldn’t be away from her for long. And honestly, sometimes you’re just tired and all you want is to do absolutely nothing. So carving out creative time has definitely been a challenge in itself.

What does a typical day look like for you and your family? Could you describe your routine and how you balance your work as an artist, content creator with spending quality time with your daughter?
Since Etta was born, our days have looked quite different, I haven’t had a full-time job like before. This past year, mornings have started slowly with breakfast together, then her first nap, and afterwards we’d usually head out. We’d go to baby-mama workouts or meet up with friends, always with some kind of activity in the day. In the beginning, she had two naps, the second one would happen in the stroller or at home. Then it’s dinner, bath time, playtime, and bed. That’s when I’d finally get a bit of time for my creative projects. And if I had to shoot content or a deadline to meet, I’d make it work during the day, often with Etta on my hip and the help of a lovely friend.

Your artistic work is vibrant, when did you start painting, and how does art inspire your other skills?
I’ve loved being creative for as long as I can remember. When I was little, I adored painting and sewing. I took a long break, but eventually I found my way back to it, I missed working with my hands and being absorbed in something offline. Whether it’s painting, drawing, ceramics, collage, or crochet, I really value the quiet moments it brings. It grounds me, and it’s just a lovely way to express whatever needs to come out.

Given your amazing eye for color and vintage finds, how did you envision and decorate Etta Olga's space? What kind of feeling or atmosphere did you hope to create?
I wanted it to feel warm, inviting and creative, not sterile or too polished. I think I’ve managed to create that vibe! The mirror is custom-made and inspired by a vintage piece I once found. The dresser and chair were both auction finds. It definitely took some time to get it just right, but it was worth the wait, and now it really feels like her little world.

As an artist who isn't afraid of color, what's one styling tip you'd love to share with our community for this summer?
Style, in your wardrobe or your home, isn’t about rules, it’s about what makes you feel good. Don’t worry about what others might think, when something speaks to you, that’s what matters. Sometimes it’s the tiniest detail that makes all the difference, a color, a texture, or something with a story behind it. That’s the secret to making it truly special.

How would you describe your family's adventure so far? In just one word or a short phrase.
Wild, messy, magical and overflowing with love <3
Could you share some of your favorite spots in CPH with us? Perhaps a beloved café, a bakery, a bookstore, a concept store, and a place you love to visit with Etta Olga.
We’ve spent quite a few mornings at Riviera. It’s stroller-friendly and they make a really good matcha latte! I also love Singh Tehus, which has the most amazing selection of teas. Østerberg Ice Cream has become a summer favorite, we might have made a habit of their softice. And for slow strolls and quiet moments, the little gardens and landbrughøjskolens have.
